You have written a lovely tribute to Sandra's brother, Ian. I found this writing touching and well-executed. The artwork you chose is perfect for the subject of the poem. Nice job for a non-poet person.

Thank you so much, my friend. I know you?re familiar with my prose, so understand my trepidation, but I just felt this was the best medium for my thoughts,

This poem, though about an extremely sad event, was excellent, Rhonda. It sang with the emotion of loss. I felt it, and you've done Ian proud and you should be proud

This is a beautiful, heartwarming poem for a man whose life was cut short. I am not a poet, but thank you for your thoughtful words in rhyme. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sandra and her family, that God gives them strength and peace during this difficult time. Thank you for this post.

Thank you for the review! I?m not much of a poet, either. Mostly short stories and novels, but this message just came out as a poem, which, I assume, is Free Verse, lol. Not sure, but I think I got the message across.

    Hugs,
    Rhonda

This is a lovely tribute to Sandra's brother and also to Sandra's loss and grieving. It is by remembering that we heal. May this poem heal Sandra and heal others who are experiencing loss.

Rhonda dear, this is such a beautiful and tender tribute poem to Ian. I'm sure it gave Sandra and her family great comfort in their loss. A treasured chapter for the memorial book.
Sending you all my best today, and abundant blessings in Christ.

This was quite lovely. I had to send Sandra a poem written by someone else. If you know my work, you know I write humor mostly. Nostalgia, mystery, but almost always with irony or a twist. I tried to write a loving poem, but my brain saw A lady fainting, bumping into her neighbor, who bumped into his, and the whole line of mourners were mowed down like dominoes in an exhibition. Not at all appropriate.
So I sent Mary Elizabeth Frye's poem "He is not There". Your poem is very thoughtful and nice. Karen

This is a lovely poem meant for Ian to let him know he had value even when he was ill. He could laugh, love, and live for the family who loved him. This is quite wonderful.

I think this is a very lovely little for for Sandra and about Ian. Although he had many problems, he was here for a reason. He was loved and his love brightened the path of those who cared about him. To live, to laugh, and to love is reason enough to be a part of this world for a season.
