If I could possibly give you a six for this one, I would give it to you. Better yet, a ten!! This is so much fun and it is sure to put a smile on Sandra's face. However, I started crying when I read it. I cry over everything lately, but you had me smiling and laughing by the end of the story. She will do the same, I am sure. This was awesome and tell Debbie next time I will stay for a cup of coffee and visit with you both for a while. Lol................ I take cream, please!!

No problem. I always have half-n-half in the fridge and a mega variety of coffee on hand. I loves my coffee?
Thank you, Debi for this wonderful review of 5, 6 or 10 stars. Sorry I made you cry! But then I got you to smile and laugh. I?m guessing my story hit close to home? At our age (me 68 and you 29) we all have someone waiting for us. Ah? I don?t want to get sappy here and now.
You, be well, my friend!

I am sure that sweet story will make her smile as it shows such understanding and care - and the value of friendship. Well done.

The photograph was inspirational, John. I loved your story about Mango, Bert and Bruno (who died), this was awesome and very endearing to me. I loved how you shared a smile, a chuckle and perhaps a laughter with Sandra. She deserves one. Blessings n Peace.

John,
Another chapter in Sandra's book. I'm sure it made her smile. Laughing has a healing power and it will be a precious break to her grief. Well done!

When we lost our mom, my younger brother said, "Thank God we laugh as hard as we cry."
I love this, John.
Though we grieve and are often besieged with sorrow, humor reminds us of happier times and it is through that first unexpected smile we begin to heal!
(I just posted my little poem for Sandra and Ian as well and hope many more contribute!)

Thanks! Too bad i stuck it in prose and messed things up! Debi noticed and Tom moved it over to poetry for me.

I am positive it made Sandra smile as our prayers and the love we've sent have helped. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Without moving, her eyes still covered Mango responded. "Bert, (comma after 'responded')

Well done, John. Sandy as I called her with her permission, is a great friend and has stood by me when I lost my son and wife. Thanks for creating that smile.

You used your own personal style to tell her you cared for her. This was very nice and gentle. I tried to write her a nice story or poem. But, you know me. I have a front-loading funny bone. It would have ended up with someone fainting and knocking over a guy, who knocked over a guy and made all the mourners go down like a stack of dominos. I sent her a poem that was read at my Aunt's funeral. It helped me.
Good Work here. Karen

This is a lovely response, John, to Sandra's huge sadness. Any relief in the grieving process, even for a moment, is a good one. You are very clever to distract her with this warm-hearted tale. I am sure she will appreciate it greatly.

Well, it certainly got me to smile, John! What a wonderful story and I'm sure Sandra will love it. The humour you intersperse is just magical and you always seem to have a special knack of bringing cheer to your reader. Well done and my sincere condolences to Sandra. A virtual six from me. Take care Debbie x
