My condolences go out to her and her family seriously. I hope that they are coping OK and that they do find some peace and celebrate his life. I know that they will be together again. Find submission for a fine lady and her family. Great job. Hope you have an
t awesome day!

This is an amazing piece. Thank you for sharing.

The struggle after loss is so overwhelming. I wish someone had spoken to me this way when I lost my friend...

I'm a punctuation stickler so I always mention it, but I've seen enough different approaches I don't grade it.

I hope your friend is doing well, and I'm so glad they had you.

Well done, and thank you again.

LOL, Thomas, first of all, welcome to FS and I hope you will be happy here.
I want to share something that was extremely difficult for me to change, but now that I have I doubt I could go back. As far as punctuation goes, when I first came here I received so many comments regarding my use of punctuation. Since my college writing days I know that it is the poets discretion whether to use it or not. However, here they truly frown on it. So I had to throw everything I knew about it out the window. I would not take to kindly to anyone grading me on it now. Lol. Of course I am not talking about my prose writing, just poetry.
After all you used my exact words when I first came when I told people I was a stickler. (Never heard anyone but me use it before) Also, I used to call myself the comma queen, and even those I only use when absolutely necessary.

I will be over soon to check out your work and fan you. And once again, I hope you will be happy here as we are a very close knit group here, but always trying to help the other improve. I am one of the greeters, but had covid this week, so not real active. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Debi PM

It?s funny because it?s just simple enough to accept someone?s work for what it is.

As for pointing it out, well it is my opinion.

I totally hear what you?re saying. I?ve learned pretty quick interacting with some of the community. Provided you?re respectful, it?s not hard to see the art in the work, so I do not judge based on my opinion. ESPECIALLY (I have learned) in poetry!

I hope you are feeling better, and no worries on the late greeting, we still got here.

I appreciate you checking me out, when you do, let me know!!

I?m in a different place mentally these days, and I am enjoying it here.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate you.

Now I?m going to go be a stickler on someone else?s work :)

Have a wonderful day, and remember, our possibilities are infinite!!

Always respectful. I write about respect a lot here, as you will find very few, but some haters. That is when you remember you have friends too. Take care and see you later, my friend.

Once again, Debi, you share your excellent and effortless verse with others for their aid. This is a lovely and beautifully executed piece of verse, proof of the community that exists here. I'm sure this will reduce Sandra to tears. x

Written from the heart. Sandra and I joined FS many years ago. "True friends are like diamonds, precious and rare, false ones like autumn leaves found everywhere." I have only just found out about her brother's passing. Thanks for writing this for her. K xx

So lovely and is such a strong expression of support.
Smooth, easy and perfect 8/6 stanzas. You're really doing well with that form.
I'm sure Sandra is feeling the love.in all these poems written for her.
I almost list a brother too so I can somewhat relate.
Thanks for writing this!

How terribly sad to read this news. She is a wonderful member of our community and my heart goes out to her. A terrifically presented poem that does justice to your friend and her loss. My condolences. Jacqueline

Thank you for taking the time to craft this beautiful piece for Sandra. I've been reading them all and wish to do the same, but I only know her through all of you and the Birthday poetry for each member she writes.
My heart breaks for her.
God bless,
Steve

This is a lovely poem crafted perfectly for Sandra as she now suffers from the loss of her brother. The picture is especially appropriate as is the video. You have such a talent for the right words.

You're welcome, Debi. How are you feeling this week?
reply by the author on 16-Nov-2023
I am doing better every day, Carol, and should be allowed to continue with my treatments again next week. I was out the last two weeks because of the covid, but still testing positive, so we will have to see what they say.
If I don't test negative by Saturday, they said they will most likely let me stay home another week, especially since it is Thanksgiving week.
reply by Carol Clark2 on 17-Nov-2023
Sorry you're still testing positive. I'm glad, however, that you've had a little break from the treatments to build up your strength. Hope you can rest & recover soon.
