Oh, I'm so glad she made that call to Mitch. He's the best thing that's happened to her. I think she needs to tell Waylon how she feels about him. The boy needs to know someone cares.

Thanks so much. I think she will be a little more motherly to him. Gretchen

5:25am and I am up early. And your story is the very first thing I read this morning. Looking good. Keep it coming. I love your imagination and creativeness.

Well, I've finally caught up reading the 60 plus reviews I was behind from last week, but it's left my star bank empty for the times I might need them most. But it doesn't make me like reading your post any less. Thanks for sharing.

Good girl, it's a good thing that there is something more important than pride, that's loved ones, she is like a mother to Waylon, he would be lost without him, people who are lost like Dougie, will probably remain lost, n but o want to be found, and belong, well done, blessings Roy

Thank you, Roy. It might be Dougie and it might not be. Honestly, Dougie has been so self absorbed that he risks losing his son completely. Gretchen

Beautifully expressed, Gretchen, with Miranda's heart of gold really coming to the fore in this impressively confessional piece. I warm to Miranda so much because she is so straight and needful and, yet, so often fearing to let go of those troubled emotions. Your dialogue, as ever, is a winner and the story is conveyed with what always appears to be effortless ease. Never do we feel the plot is obscured by too much descriptive imagery. It reads fluently, fully engaging the reader from the start. The imagery of the ball of twine is superb! Well done, Gretchen! Debbie x

Such an authentic and lovely relationship you describe so beautifully here. Just makes for a happy read, blows the cobwebs away. Continuing to enjoy this one hugely, Gretchen.

Nicely written.
I'm not sure about the plot movement of Miranda caving in with Mitch. But I'll bet that I'm all alone on that score. (smiley face here)
Best wishes.

Only plot movement was a step in the direction of trust from Miranda. Thank you so much. Gretchen

YES! At last she has decided she needs Mitch to help her find Dougie. He's a cop for Heavens sake! She has given Waylon a little bit of love and that will go a long way supplying what he needs to be happy and feel like he belongs to someone. Maybe Dougie's in jail or maybe it IS Missy Toblerone messing with her again. Well done Gretchen. Nancy:)

Thank you so much for this wonderful review. I'm not sure if it's Dougie or not. I couldn't keep Miranda and Mitch apart. They belong together. Gretchen

This is another good chapter in your story. Miranda working things out with Mitch might just mean she has backup if she gets in trouble, if she calls Mitch. Waylon suffers the most if the call was from Dougie, but Miranda was able to toss a little love line to the boy.

Poor Waylon is the one who suffers the most. But Miranda loves him fiercely. Thank you for this. Gretchen

Good Work here. This is moving along nicely. I enjoy the strong family connections. Pinterest is a good place to go for free pictures, Only problem, you might get lost watching videos of babies laughing. Karen

I've never really liked putting pictures with my stuff. I like others doing it but not for me. I'm glad you liked the chapter. Gretchen
