This hits me hard.
I had a rough childhood so spoiled my kids to the point of being ridiculous.
Now my son and daughter in law have 2 adopted children.
They were foster parents to many.
I've seen the result of the abuse and neglect you write about here.
Thank you for sharing this heartbreaking work.

Yes, Lea, I realise now that you're piecing everything together in the present while I'd thought that it was your teenage mind that was establishing the facts. Though you are separated from the traumatised child you once were, you are now undergoing a secondary trauma as your brain is now better able to interpret and understand a little more of the treatment to which you were subjected. It is an ugly and deep-rooted tale which will not reveal itself easily but, if you're persistent, it can be exposed for all the cruelty and inhumanity that was perpetrated. Do you mean in their (respective) chairs? This is coming together well, Lea. Thanks for sharing Debbie
