This beautifully written story leads in one direction to introduce another similar direction. You handled the tale and the irony very well. It speaks volumes without evoking excess emotion, leaving the reader thinking, "I thought that this was where it was going." However, having said that, I don't think I am up to reading any more... yet.

After reading your post Lea, it all sounds like there is going to be a cover up here. Too many jobs at stake for such revelations to come out and the victims of these crimes will remain persecuted and abused. If your Grandmother was such a high public figure in social services, why did she allow this abuse to go on? Surely the first step is to protect your own family? Children have no power in these circumstances and only when they become adults can they reflect and know the truth. Another fine chapter Lea, love Dolly x

I held this six since Sunday because I just KNEW you were going to end this work week with a bang!!!!! This was simply tremendous!!! You wrote this with such quiet exactitude...a perfectly placed scud missile. The ONLY thing I would add is either a letter or a # after "Uncle"...as in Uncle A and Uncle B or Uncle 1 and Uncle 2. Everything else? Complete and total perfection!! So proud of you, Lea. You are remarkable...and becoming more and more so by the day.

I realise that you have to deal in your life with a constant sense of unreality, with occasional clashes of panic in your life, although I suffered some trauma as a child, I developed a counter reality to cope. Still do, but it serves well in understanding others, that's how and why I was able to be a good father. Well done Lea, blessings Roy for

Good morning Debbie. Oh, yes, there's a system, all right. I found out so much more and I still continue to find things. When my sister and I arrived at my grandmother's house. We were 89 and 90 pounds at the ages of 14 and 15. My grandmother brought my sister to her thinking to fatten her up to cover up for my stepfather's abuse again. Can't have that out in the open because of the things I found about my grandmother who was terrified about ruination. That's what happens when you try to take 3 girls. Lives oh yes, they tried. Thank you so much, Debbie, I appreciate your interest and reading along. My mother's freaking out thing. I'm not her daughter. I never was... The whole world has gone itself up in an uproar. Oh, my Lord, what's Lea gonna say? We are going to say everything hear me, roar! Thank you! I appreciate you!
