This is an ambient and sad post and I felt the sorrow in this fine presentation. We are all touched by grief at some time in our lives and it is hard to cope with it, well chosen words here, love Dolly x

You captured that grief well with the dusk (the end of a day) that "seeps through the abandoned home" and while the home is empty, the boat is "full" of grief. We don't know what happened to the people but some tragedy occurred.

Yes! That's what happened... but we don't know what. It's different for each reader.
Thank you very much, big sister.

I had an immediate physical reaction to this haiku. The image is absolutely stunning, a poem in itself. "Misty amber dusk" is beautiful imagery, and your interpretation of grief pulls it all together and gives it meaning. I love it.

Hi Marival,
this is so relatable. The hues you painted fitted perfectly into the intent of feeling the emotion created while reading. And of course, it does help when the presentation you always achieve it so perfectly matched as to attain not only a mental picture, but an aesthetic one also.
I guess I related especially to the colour translation and the way you expanded the feeling so well by the thought 'seeps through'... the emptiness and void left by grief... and in saying that, there are many different levels of what grief may mean to each individual and what it actually pertains to.
So much emotion created in such a short form... that's mastery in my books!
With our thoughts we create...
a level of emotion.
Warmest regards,
James.

This really painted a picture. I could see a harbor shrouded in mist and sun trying to burn it off. Beautiful feel to this. Thank you for sharing. Gretchen
