You're pulling all your strands together so well here, Jim. It's all sounding so cleverly interwoven which I find very satisfying. The golf simulator is, of course, the icing on the cake here but we also are going to find out more about that suit which has been hanging in the air a bit. And a ghost to guide the group through, a perfect addition to the fantasy time-travel of your story. You've got all the elements now, very exciting! Let's go! Debbie

Thanks so much, Debbie. You do have to be somewhat patient with this story because it does take a while to see how it all ties together, but I guess a lot of stories are like that. As long as they keep the attention, it's worth the wait to figure it all out.

Still a few surprises to come!

Excellent again. I love the way your imagination just decides to take a new turn and it is just as interesting. And the idea of a ghost, added to the time-travelling continues the lovely mix of the real and the supernatural. Well done!

Thank you so much, John. This is a story that really grew in the telling. I had a vague outline of it, but just let each era develop as it would with no clear idea of what would happen and how it would all tie together. I'm very much a pantser when I write which can sometimes lead you down dead ends, but there weren't many of those that had to be discarded, and they were quickly realized.

Nicely written.
Correct me if I'm wrong. Being a non-golfer, I can only go by what I'm told, or see in the news and in movies. Isn't a large part of golf the camaraderie and networking?
For myself, I would enjoy the 4-5 hours in the great outdoors and the park-like setting.
I could imagine something like you're suggesting for fishing, but for me, being in a boat on the Arkansas White River with friends fishing for trout is far more than casting, setting the hook, and landing the fish.
Best wishes.

Well, it is, and it isn't. It just depends on your circumstances and your particular likes and dislikes.

I tended to be a more serious golfer when I used to golf and the golf was the most important thing. I probably resembled the Snogs rather than the Foos in that regard and doing well was important to me. If I had a good round, that would keep me high for the rest of the day (and I would replay the round in my head), but it took real concentration to play well.

Some people, though, prefer what you mentioned--the camaraderie and networking, and the pure golf was secondary.
