Greed and hatred do, indeed, corrupt. Your poem gives each of us a chance to look within and make sure we are not contributing in any small way to the spiritual unrest in our midst. Peace must begin with us.

It has been that way since the beginning of time. The war in Heaven sent the devil to the earth never to return back into God's Kingdom. Adam dropped the ball, Jesus Recovered it. Pray for the peace in Israel.

I realize wars will continue until the end of time. They could even happen in this country.

They will. Most likely Red China and us will be fighting just like Israel. To let a poisonous snake come and go inside your house, no doubt it will bite you.

So true Beth, no one wins when death and destruction is raining down. Unfortunately hate is being carried forward from generation to generation. I can't imagine what it is like and I hopefully won't find out. Well done Beth.

Thank you Pearl. It doesn't seem possible something like that could happen in this courtry but we are so divided and can't be sure that we might face something this horrible.

A well written five-line poem filled with truth along with sadness at yet another area of war and destruction. Strange how people never learn the truth that wars bring no winners.
Best wishes for the contest.

Yes, Beth, there is a futility to war. I agree with you wholeheartedly. All wars must cease.
There can be no peace until all wars cease.
Even though it rhymes it is how I feel deep inside. The picture of the man running away with fire on his back is stunning and brings the message home.

Thank you Jesse. The picture was really taken in Israel in the last few days. Your comments are excellent and I really appreciate the six stars.

That war-torn picture tells it all!
The six stars are well deserved.

This five-line poem, War and Peace, has the proper formatting and witnesses another war that has begun and will be fought with the blood and lives of those who may have been our future.

Amen! And you even managed to rhyme this five-line poem as well as move our hearts about the wars that have erupted, especially the recent attack on Israel. What a hard thing to watch. One WA church's members were trapped in Israel right at this time.
Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you for the review. I hope the church member is safe. I'm really worried about the hostages. Those people have no second thoughts about killing them. The photo is was actually made in the last couple of days in the Israel.

Of course, war has always been, ever since Adam and Eve were asked to leave the garden, the conflict between the two natures continues until it is finally, and fatally for some, reaches a conclusion, well done, great entry Beth, good luck, blessings Roy

Yes War will continue until Christ returns but I don't think most people want war.

You have shared a lot of wisdom through just a few short lines of well-written poetry. Humanity does not seem to be learning enough from past mistakes.
