I really enjoy this story as the animals have personalities and Ava has decided to not only save them but enjoy them as her gang of friends. The goat seems like he is going to add complications to her life. Having raised goats for several years, I can assure you that have personalities and love tricks.

I always enjoy reading more of your saga with the shipwreck and your animal friends. The storytelling is done with a lightness and you make it easy to read and follow. I am invested in these animals and the MC.

Great chapter, debi. Who'd have thought the stinkin' goat would give Ava more trouble than the horses! Nice bit of comic relief. I loved the dialog she had with the goat. Interesting how Apollo responded to his name too. This is a great story so far. - Jim

Goats are notoriously awkward and difficult to handle as they have a mind of their own so I can understand the frustration here. Glad there was a peaceful ending to this story though Debi, I was entertained here, love Dolly x

I knew the goat was going to present some type of challenge. Even so, I read this chapter wondering what unexpected and unpredictable things the goat would do. The goat did not disappoint. I enjoyed your detailed descriptions making it easy to envision each scene. Looking forward to the next chapter.

This is such a cute story. I really like how you painted this chapter for me. I could see it in my mind and I enjoyed the 'show'. :)

This is the first chapter I've read-so far, and I hope to read more ( away from home right now).

You have peaked my curiosity and left me wanting to go back and catch up to what I read today. Good job.

I love the humor in this and the comparison to Grendel. That goat acted more like a mule, I'm thinking. A lot of action in this. I could see it as an animated feature. Your writing is superb.

This post caused me to smile. In a novel, I'm writing there is a very naughty goat. I'm having fun with this goat. Thank you for sharing this post with us. I found no way to improve it.

Somehow I knew she would have trouble with the goat. LOL I had a mama goat and two kids on my ranch years ago. I loved them, but they were rambunctious and unpredictable, but fun. I am enjoying this adventure Debi. Well done. Nancy:)

Hi Debi, this is a delightful story. I will have to make sure I don't miss more than I already have, so I will fan you. I loved the way you handled the goat Grendel. A very appropriate name for that little monster.
Now that the five animals are happily eating, it's time for Ava to find some food. Lots of regards, Ulla:)))
