Very good writing, Definitely a gifted person with a strong knowledge of the english language and wide variety of word too choose from.
The characters are vibrant and believable and talks about a subject that is near and dear to many people's hearts.
I see no issues with grammar, spelling punctuation, nor do I see any issues with aesthetics. It's a fine looking and fine reading piece of work. Great job, I wish you the best of luck!

Goodness gracious have you ever been a preacher or a laymen? sounds like you are one now. You certainly have a way with words. I have been told all my stories are good versus evil, maybe so, but I also believe that we teach by example. You will very rarely see a curse word in any of my work. In my violent story "I really don't belong here, you might remember the rudest thing I called anyone was " A lily-livered horny toad". You can use language to convey harshness without using "Curse" words.
My opinion. Karen

Thank you.
The only exception I make is that you can't have a really vile person saying, "Aw shucks" in dialogue, but my wife says to just find another way to convey the character's attitude. So you are right. (smiley face here)

I liked that chapter, Wayne. It may have been preachy, but the preaching was good--filled with baseball jargon that helped make it interesting. Seems that Billy is taking his second job quite seriously and is a good preacher, who I'm sure reached many.

Thank you. I hope the D.L. Moody chapter is received as well as this one.
