Hey Jim, congrats on getting into Book of the Month:) Well done! Another lovely chapter here and getting more exciting as the prototype is tested out by Claire with everything going very well. Obviously caution now has to be taken given the value of the suit and I can only hope it remains safe.... But this remarkably original story is gathering momentum. Thanks for sharing, Jim. Debbie

Thanks, Debbie. You've probably picked up some clues that it may not go so smoothly. We'll see what the next chapter on Friday has in store for it.

Uh-oh. Per the last exchange, someone is going to lose the suit. I feel something bad afoot.
The balls should go perhaps 45 yards." - I don't mean to be over-critical, but to an average person, wouldn't someone use round numbers, like 50 yards?
Best wishes.

    Good instincts, Wayne.

You're probably right about 50 vs 45. I was just thinking how far I used to hit a pitching wedge, which was 110 yards, figuring 12-year-old Claire would be able to hit it 90 at most, therefore a half-swing would yield her 45. I may decide to change it, though.

It's all going really well. Too well? Interesting to note that sweat doesn't interfere with the circuitry! Really interesting writing as usual, Jim. Well done. Can't wait for the next one.
