I'm pretty certain none of this existed last time I visited Port Macquarie, Wendy. I'm sure I'd have heard of it. I was so saddened to hear Fantasy Glades had closed down -- I loved going there with the kids when they were little. Maybe this makes up for it.

If you managed to find a place without mobile phones glued to almost everyone's hands, I think that almost qualifies as a miracle.

A nine-kilometre walk along the shore sounds just perfect -- maybe not in mid-summer. I really must get up there and find this spectacle.

Some things occasionally help to restore my dwindling faith in humanity -- at least some of it. This sounds like one such thing.

Thanks for sharing. The writing is flawless, in so far as I could see.

Thank you Craig for this super review. I don't recall seeing them last time we were there a few years ago, but some have dates from many years ago, although they could be retrospective. I couldn't find any info re when they were done. Thanks again.

The paragraph dealing with your first walk needs rephrasing as it has a few non sequiturs. The sights were available at certain seasons but you arrived too late in the afternoon. You do not state whether or not you were in season.

Other than as remarked above this is a fine account of a memorable visit in unique surroundings.

Just coincidence, which made it a delightful and memorable experience. I wished I could post images of more tributes and messages. One had the names of several dogs with a painting of each. They obviously meant a great deal to their owners.
It was a beautiful experience perhaps especially because it coincided with the beauty of the sunset. Thanks again.
