Hopefully it will make more sense when you see it in action. The last format is today's Speed Golf. I once participated in a speed golf event with over 100 participants scattered in designated places around the golf course. It took something like 15 minutes to get the ball around 18 holes. No idea what the score was, though.

If I may ask, what in particular did you find confusing--the whole idea of combining the minutes plus the score or was it the points allotted for a victory based on the amount of the team difference? I'm open to suggestion about how to make it more understandable.
