Good

Well, you did it. You had someone (hint, myself) reading a space-age story and enjoying it. I liked the twist about the journalists from non-events to big events; their opinions count. You used language that the "dumb one" again me could understand and tickle the imagination to the itching point.

Thank you for the great review, Claire. I'm glad you liked the piece. Might you have any suggestion on how the piece could be improved as per the 4 stars? A 4 star review means the piece had misspellings or grammar mistakes or needs revised somehow. Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

Yes, if you put your cursor over "Community" at the top of the page, there will be a drop down. Click on Q&A (questions and answers) and another page will come up. Scan down to the fifth segment "How many stars should I give something I read" and that's where you'll see about the rating system. 4 stars means Good: Adjustments needed. Usually if someone likes a piece and there are no misspellings or grammar issues that need addressed the going rate usually runs around 5 on here. Hopefully that helped a little.

terrific. I can just hear other FS readers thinking, why didn't I think of that?
What a great solution. You successfully turned something scary into a humorous victory for mankind.
The only thing I thought you were a bit unfeeling about was the bit about the jets losing power and crashing. No mention of the pilots' fate.
Never-the-less, it's a great entry for the contest and your picture is really good! Best of luck!

I thought about that. I'll have to get that in there. I was struggling to reach the 1500 word limit so I was just adding stuff here and there but I'll try to get that in. I'm confused at what you mean. Applauded? I want people to like the piece. I don't know about going as far it being applauded. Lol. I don't think you missed any points though. I did add the pilots ejecting as well.
