Sheriff Mitch Danning sounds like a keeper, much better than Dougie. I wonder if he is dead.
Miranda and Missy are interesting characters. I enjoyed the story. I love crime thrillers.

Thanks so much, Gypsy. I hope Miranda doesn't disappoint, this time around. Gretchen

Good, good, good. I am glad she's back. I like her straightforward character and her honesty. She does need to find Dougie for Waylon, and I'm betting that Missy in jail might know something. Glad to see another Miranda story. Well written.

I really like Miranda. She is an INDIVIDUAL who thinks for herself and can learn to like a disposable kid, who learns to like her in return. She also wants to find his father, probably for the kid's sake. Missy is her exact opposite. I don't remember if I've read any of Miranda's story, but this leaves me wanting to read more.

The Miranda Chronicals are in my portfolio. You'll get a better feel for her if you start there. But, it won't take long to see what she's about here. Thank you for this. Gretchen

This is an excellent 1st chapter in your book Miranda's Trouble In Paradise. Your words are powerful and you've woven together an imaginative and creative write.
All the best,

Excellent writing. Great work.
This is a unique way to introduce characters - at it works, as far as I'm concerned. Is the book going to be in first person all the way through? Just curious. I can just wait and see. (smiley face here)

It will be first person. That point of view is easier to channel the character. Thank you for this kind review. Gretchen. Oh, and the six. Lol

Gretchen,
Along other writers posts, Miranda Chronicles I think it is, came up as some fantastic writing. As I came back to FS last November, I guess I missed it.
Well I won't miss the next one...
Looking forward to more.

Where does it all come from? That's what I wanna know. I just find your constant ability to create these characters and scenarios - which are so lifelike and enthralling - incredible. This is great, and as usual I want to read on and find out more about this woman and her story.

Thanks for catching us up on the story. Since I missed the previous novel, I appreciate the recap so I can jump into this one without too much difficulty. Miranda seems to have a colorful life, and luckily, friends. She also seems to have a big heart since she has Waylon to take care of.
Let's see what happens next...

Well, you sure come out of the gate swinging, don't you? Marvelous, I'm on pins and needles I want it all right now. It's a pity you can't post it both ways. All of it at once, and in bite-size chunks. Anyhoo, good work. When you have time, read my tome "I Really Don't Belong Here" at almost 9,000words, you'll need to pack a lunch. I need to chop it up tell me what you think, you are an expert. Karen
