This is the sweetest verse and, yes, I certainly heard the music in your flowing free verse. The story of the leaf, its personification is truly endearing as is also the fact that you wish to learn from nature when the soul is restless or in turmoil. An original, beautifully expressed verse with a fine upbeat message of hope inspired by a simple leaf. Well done! Debbie

I love the last stanza keep on hoping:) "Where do I cling
when winds of life
stir my very core
Do I strive to hang on tight
or fly to brighter shores"

First, welcome to FanStory, Jewell! Your talent is clearly evident in this lovely poem. It tells a story and poses a question at the end: Do I strive to hang on tight or fly to brighter shores? I choose the brighter shores.
Marvelous poem, and so beautifully illustrated and presented.
Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for your writing endeavors.

This is an excellent free verse, it was full of imagery, as like the parables, Isaiah, Job etc. which is what poetry actually is, people will represent prose as free verse, but this is what it's supposed to be, beautifully written my friends blessings Roy
