I've heard golfers can tell some tall tales, but it would be hard to convince people this time travel tale happened, especially since it has only been a few minutes in their timeframe. It will be interesting to see who Kevin and Paul end up being in the past and what timeframe they land in.

I wouldn't believe it if someone were to tell me this tale. I think I'd have to experience it myself like Paul has volunteered to do, although he thinks he's just calling Kevin's bluff. When they return in a few seconds, let's see if they can persuade Dumbo.

Yes, I do. I don't play anymore but only write about it now. It's a satisfying substitute.

I doubt they will end up in Holland this time. I can't wait to see where they'll go. I'm sure it'll be very interesting and now he has a friend with him. Truthfully I wouldn't believe it either.

I don't think I would either. Let's see if they can get Dumbo to believe it when they get back.

Just curious: Were you relieved to hear that Kilian didn't leave Arie and his kids after all, and that he is still right there in Holland in 1256?

Yes, I was. I didn't like the idea of Kilian leaving Arie and the kids. I wondered how you were going to handle that. You did a great job.

Thank you, Barbara. It was a little bit different approach to time-travel.

Wow Jim, that's one hell of a jump through time and now that my family are all grown up I wouldn't mind an adventure to the future if I could turn back my age a few years. That is a trip I would love to do, even if it was for just a 2 week holiday.

This is inventive and clever Jim and I enjoyed your unique story.

I spotted this typo, but you may have intended it to say (kolf), not sure?

(The five move to Amsterdam where they set up a (golf) business),

a fine post Jim, entertaining and a pleasure to read, love Dolly x x x

Thank you so much, Dolly. Pretty soon we'll be jumping again to the past, perhaps a little closer to your neck of the woods.

If you are going back to the thirteenth century, remember the British were pretty barbaric then! Ha ha ha x x x

WEll, tell me my friend is this the end, or is there another tome to be written including Paul in Holland. Or maybe the pair, as who would leave Dumbo out? Disney didn't? Get well. I mean Be well. May the force come to bless you,

Not the end by a long shot. Part 2, beginning on Monday, will not be in Holland but elsewhere, and rest assured, Dumbo will get his turn--eventually. You might even recognize his alter-ego.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this! So Kevin is a time traveller but the good news he's aiming to return and possibly get back into Kilian's mind. This is fascinating with so many unknowns about what he'll find on his return and whether in fact he'll actually be able to get back inside Kilian. Under the trestle you take this reader on your magical journey! Thanks for sharing, Jim! Debbie

Glad to have surprised you, Debbie.

I wanted to have this time-travel tale be a total learning experience for Kevin, untainted by his life in 2032 America. Also, with this approach, there's no danger of interfering with the past and altering the course of the future or setting up a paradox as is common in most time-travel tales because Kevin is not Kevin while he's there; he is just Kilian, who never leaves Arie or his children behind when he enters the woods. Kevin just exits his brain then. A little different take on time-travel.
