Actually, bats and balls of many sports have designed and advanced over the years, the balls to be helpfully and aerodynamically designe, pus players are skilled in their use, as are bats, from the expensively produced from the best woods or materials available, I love the developments of relationships, beautifully written Jim, blessings Roy

Thank you, Roy. Equipment then was still pretty primitive. It isn't until a few hundred years later that they begin making metal heads and hickory shafts and binding them together as irons.

That?s progress, cricket bats are still made out of the same wood they made them out of for hundreds of years, but the balls ate still bound leather, the bats but they are heavier and have a greater centre spot. They can hit the ball out of the stadium frequently now, the shorter game?s more exciting than baseball now.

Oooh, does the portal beckon? Exciting stuff. Can't wait. Well done and I look forward to the end of Part One. Hopefully I'll have a six left for the cumulative pleasure you have given me.

Thanks so much, John. Yes, we're about to go "Back to the Future," and I hope you find some surprises in store when we do.

Nicely written. Error-free.
Sounds like a good place for a kid to disappear, leading to some sort of chaos. Especially since things are a bit too 'Hallmarky' at the moment.
Best wishes.

Yes, I wanted to build the sadness of his leaving them. Will he ever see them again? Who knows?

Yes, I can feel the final rays of the descending sun easing from the landscape, and yet the morn tomorrow will rise again and instead of the usual cast I am suspecting the children will take over.
