This is adorable, creative, and very funny. The idea of Darcy holding a family meeting while Lola sleeps through the whole thing sounds like something that could really happen. I like the way you let the reader know who the humans were. I also liked the happy ending. Even though Aries and Snow are coming to live with you, Darcy still gets the bottom of the bed.

This family meeting reminds me of "Young Sheldon". We've been binge-watching the sitcom for the past few weeks. Sheldon always takes things to the highest level, no matter what. Darcy reminds me of him.
As far as it goes, Darcy might like some playful company. It looks like she plays alone most of the time right now... Lola is 14 years old, and pretty tired out these days.
In my opinion, the "Humans" should think more clearly about adding pets to the household. Dog food is very expensive! If anyone wants to get rich, open a pet store. You'll be a millionaire in no time! People love their pets, and will do anything for them. Anything!

Kimbob, first, thank you for reading and sharing. Darcy and Aries are smaller in size and Snow is a Golden retriever mix, so the dog food isn?t overly expensive for us. The cost is worth the benefit the dogs give us with their affection.
Second, I took care of those "oops" you pointed out. Thank you for that.

I always joked with my wife, if I were ever to die and be reincarnated, our house would be my landing zone. Dogs are treated like royalty!
