This chapter is full of drama and momentum as Ben tries to reason with the captain but fails to convince him that he or God is not responsible for all the ills that have befallen the Superbia. While crew members support Ben by taking a whipping for him, the captain is overtaken by his conscience and Ben must take over responsibility for the ship's course. An excellent and exciting read as the reader wonders what ever next adversity Ben will face in his one-mad calling to God. Thanks for sharing, Wayne. Debbie

Thank you for your great review.

I bet that crow nest and an all-night sitting or standing did him in physically. I look for him to convert the entire ship including the captain. Thanks for sharing.

My goodness that was a dramatic chapter. Ben showed great courage to challenge the captain. The sailors have shown where their allegiance lies, and it is remarkable that they would accept some of his punishment. There's a spiritual lesson there - except that He accepted ALL our punishment.

Brilliant. They get better, if that is at all possible. Love the strength in your protagonist. The faith that inspires him is so well described. Great sermons in your work. Well done.
