Of course the two galoots they had the trouble with in an earlier encounter are revealing yet again that Leopards indeed don't change their spots, and behaving consistently badly and they really don't know how to develop a conscience, but they will be beaten in the long run, I perceive, beautifully written Jim. Let's hope you're right. They certainly deserve to be beaten.
Thanks, Roy for your perceptive review.

You said those "klootzaks" would be coming back into the story and haven't they just in their "dandy attire!" Well now it's imperative our team must win because we don't tolerate dirty play!! Your chapter reads, as ever, with interest and now intrigue about how this game might be won and the klootzaks get their comeuppance. Enjoying Arie's character with her very restrained insistence that winning the game was more important than using fists and then nearly coming to blows with the official (her second response very relatable!) Great job as ever, Jim! Take care Debbie

Thanks, Debbie. I love your perceptive reviews. You're reading it just the way I intended it. I'm just hoping that by breaking it into 3 parts, we won't lose the excitement of this match, but it was just too long to do as one whole chapter.

I find it amazing how long it took to have the stymie rule, ruled out, and yet the greats, Jones, Sarazen and Hagen could outfox the rule and win holes anyway, popping their ball over the obstacle.

I agree. It was considered part of the strategy of the game and would often be consciously used. But I think it was hokey, and they made a good decision to get rid of it.
