Thanks for sharing this movie... It is a tough topic, and that's why we need to pay attention. I just looked and found out it's playing the next town over, although I have seen no advertising or promotion for it...
(All that budget money goes to Barbie I think)
I haven't been to a movie in a dog's age myself but will make it a point to check this out.
Blessings,
Karenina

Hello Karenina,
I hope you do take the opportunity to see this touching movie. The powers that be didn't want to have this movie produced. There was a five year delay in the production. Thank God it finally is being seen by a number of people across this country. I was so glad that I took the time to see it. My pastor mentioned that one church, I believe in Palmer Alaska had bought out the movie theatre for two nights so anyone who wanted to could go see it. My daughter's church did the same for one night I believe. Good people need to take a stand or we'll be overwhelmed by those who are evil. Thanks so much for the great review gal.
Have a blessed evening.

Oh my goodness Tom, this sounds like a very sad movie to pay to watch. How awful for those poor children. I think I would rather watch the Barbie movie, but we cannot turn our back on the reality of this kind of thing. Child abuse exists in the world and how do we stop it? It is all about making money out the vulnerable. A poignant write Tom, love Dolly x

Hello Dolly,
I was glad to pay to see what is happening in the exploitation of children. In fact I bought two tickets for anyone who can't afford to buy a ticket so that they can be aware of what's going on. No one wants to subject themselves to unpleasant news, but if we don't know about it, how can we stop it? I imagine when you were a bobby you saw more than your share of heartbreaking events. The main character, based on a real person, helped to save over 150 children in Columbia, children who were already kidnapped and being used in the illegal sex trade. That's just the tip of the iceberg though.
Have a blessed evening gal.

Our church has advertised its showing here (sound of freedom) in a public theatre here in my home state. I have been aware of this heinous industry for some years, and took a mission trip to a ministry in this area in Cambodia, that's been going on in this Lillie nation which has been hit by child trafficking fo a long time, I won't go into it, but it will make you cry, this is a land that has been ravaged with half its population slaughtered in the killing fields by Pol Pot, a man who makes Hitler and Stalin seem like amateurs. Our church supports the ministry, (origin in America) we have sent workers and finance for many years, Elaine and I have been, and modestly helped these beautiful people. It's awful for these dear, dear children Tom, blessings Roy

Hello Roy,
thanks so much for taking a stand and doing something to help combat this despicable behavior. We can all agree that what is happening is horrible, but when we support those who are doing something about it, we put some meat behind our beliefs. It's what we need more of. If we, who are called by God's name don't fight against this, who will? I applaud you my friend.
Have a blessed day.

Hello Barbara,
thanks so much for the exceptional rating and comments. The decline in our moral standing is reflected in the lack of church attendance. Without a light to follow, we naturally fall into darkness. I think the movie is doing much better than they had expected. I hope it's available for a long time to come and that multitudes of people will watch it and will take a stand to put an end to the exploitation of kids.
Have a blessed evening gal.

Yes, sir, children are pawns used around the world. I saw this movie and it broke my heart, as I've seen this kind of abuse in action around the thoroughbred race tracks around the world. In tack rooms where young girls are prostituted daily. I've even jumped in, broke it up, and had the police come in. But within a few days they set up shop somewhere else. And like the cartels in the story I have posted right now, they don't only sell drugs, but children around the world. It's hard to imagine heartless people who would harm children. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Ric,
I guess I've had my head in the sand or didn't realize the scope of the problem or just was too busy with my own life to pay much attention to the issue. My blood boils when I hear of such abuse. What the hell is wrong with these people? I'm glad the issue is being exposed and brought before a number of people who will hopefully care enough to speak out. Thanks for the great review and comments.
Have a blessed day.

This deserves a six, and I'm out of them. I know this sort of thing happens every day right here in our own country by people in high places even. I can't wrap my mind around anyone who would do such a thing. As you said, most of it comes from our own country. Just another horrible thing to show how far we've strayed from God in this society.

Hello Yvonne,
You're spot on gal when you mentioned how far removed we've become from God. While freedom is something to be celebrated, it's not a license to do whatever we want to do. Obviously man's depravity knows no limits. These pediphiles and slave traders need to be publicly exposed and dealt with. As with the drug trade, if there wasn't a market for innocent children, they wouldn't be bought and sold like stocks. Thanks so much for the great review and comments.
Have a blessed day.

Sex trafficing is horrible and it unbelievable that there are so many souless people who would be willing to participate in this practice. We would like to believe that people are basically good but this destroys our picture of a decent society. You are right we. Our words can make a difference and we should take up the cause for protecting the innocent children of the world.

Hello Beth,
isn't it because we have lost our respect for God that this country has fallen from it's place of honor in the world? I agree, we all want to think that people are basically good, but if good people don't speak out, it's like we are condoning that behavior. God help us. Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments and fine review.
Have a blessed day.

That is an alarming piece of reading and thinking of child exploitation fills me with horror. Thank you for alerting me to this film and for raising awareness, and challenging each of us to make a meaningful and active response.

Hello Wendy,
I've been made aware of this problem in the past, and then allowed life to carry on and put it on the back burner. I had no idea just how expansive the problem has become. I'm ashamed that this country has become a major exploiter of children. I can't fathom the terror these little kids must experience. Their abusers need to be found, exposed and dealt with in the harshest manner possible. Thanks for the great review.
Have a blessed day.

It's interesting that you write about this movie, as my hairdresser just last week mentioned it to me. I will have to check to see if its playing in my area (she lives in another town).
Tom, I have to say that this is one of the most powerful things I've ever read that you've written. Your words are passionate and that passion translates to the story you've given us.
A couple of nit-picky things: The movie is "put out" by Angel studios. I would change that to "produced by" Angel studios. Also, you refer to re-selling children to the next "jerk". If you used a word like "exploiter" or "trafficker", it would take your opinion out of the mix.
These are just suggestions.
I believe Florida is one of the worst states in the country for this crime. I would guess because there is an international tourist industry (especially in the Miami area) and our lax laws in regards to this issue. I will look into what I can do to make my voice heard.
Thank you Tom for such a well-stated argument for action.

Hello Pam,
thanks so much for the glowing review. Actually jerk is a pretty mild way to describe a low life scum bag who would kidnap children and then sell them for the purpose of the sex trade. I can't even fathom what goes through their minds. I get pretty emotional sometimes when I see injustice played out before me. I appreciate your input though, and I'll see about making the corrections.
Have a blessed day gal.

Hello Iza,
I know several men who used to go to Asia in the winter and live with under aged prostitutes. Their excuse was that the culture there approved of it, and it was the only way for families to make extra money. Unbelievable. Thanks for the fine review gal.
Have a blessed day.
