What a sad tale in your notes. Almost a poem on its own. Trying not to think of Bob Seger's 'We've got tonight' as I read this excellent poem. The sensual tone, once again, is superb.

Loved the use of repetition and the reference to all the senses. Great use of assonance in your word choices. But the most moving part was your story about the gannet bird, Nigel.
