This is a very lovely story. And, it is not surprising that the heavy medication gave her the seizures she was to be prevented from. She probably had a severe anxiety attack. And when they found she had no organic cause, instead of suggesting relaxing techniques such as prayer, or mantras, or learning other ways to self calm, they doped her to the gills, knowing high doses of those same drugs themselves can case seizures.
But, years ago, it was drug'em up and get them out the door. You have a true gift with your writing. I hope to see a lot more of it.

Appreciate what you said about the attitude of a pill for everything attitude. I'd like to think we have changed for the better. Keen insight and appreciated.
