Thank you for this delightful glimpse into the wonderful world of the grandma. Both of mine are long since gone, but it is good to have tresured memories. The photo reminded me of the little boy and car in the LIBERTY Insurance commercials.

A swuoer sweet chapter to the book , my friend. I love that we share the same traditions of the favorite birthday meals. We did the same and it has passed to our grandchildren. Popcorn for breakfast sounds yummy. Pop or Pop Tarts have been chosen too. Unconditional love is the best we can give our children.

Hello again Grandma Barbara. Yes! You should certainly land the babysitter job - and permanently if you had a chance, I'm sure.
You have sussed this family business now, haven't you - the precise role which grandmas play - when to ask, when to push, when to slacken the reins. But your interplay between each member of the family is so fascinating - especially to readers like me who never had an extended family; ironically, my elderly aunts filled part of the space a grandma would fit.
I think that Charlotte and Eleanor are very lucky to have such an interesting, interested 'gran on line'. The intuition that they are trying to displace a few negative vibes is very shrewd. So shrewd, in fact, that only a grand grandma could have known it!
