Hello, Terry and I cannot say, darling, because you might think that I am insensitive to your open-heart conversation with the love of your life. And don't worry, I am sailing in the same boat as I am thanking God for the man that I don't have in my life, just you know for good luck and "make it happen already." Talking is the best therapy to keep the memory alive, and I do talk to my cats, who sometimes meows in response:) Thank you for sharing and have a lovely afternoon.

Iza, thank you for reading and reviewing. I was Cat Daddy for over forty years to a total of 8 cats. So, I do know about talking to them. LOL, Terry.

A lovely story/biography/memoir. Such sweet memories. Thank you for sharing these with us. (I don't know 'honey bunch' but I use 'honey bun'. But as you say, what on earth is that?)

Terry! The love of your life remains the life of your love! Zoe hears you...I've no doubt. She was and always will be "The Sweet Baby" who fills your heart and frames the edges of your life...

This is lovingly sweet, with a kiss of Texas humor and as endearing as anything I've ever read from you...

And "humbug" to those that grouse a writing site cannot (or ought not) bring us new friends!

I happen to know the many "behind the scenes" blessings you bestow... and I can't help but think your Zoe smiles down at your every kindness.

They say in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" that:

"No man is a failure who has friends."

It's clear to me you married your best friend--and how blessed are we who have come to be wrapped in the warmth of your friendship!

To Zoe!

Karenina

I truly love this Sweet Baby. The name is endearing, loving, and special. Zoe knew each time you called her "Sweet Baby that she was deeply loved.
As far as keeping her abreast of movies, politics, and your everyday life, it is endearing, loving, and special. It keeps her in your heart.
I agree little darling does seem disrespectful and insincere.
My guy is my Sweetie.
Beautifully written.
Mary

I'm glad to get to know more about you through this interesting story. Congrats on being married to a lovely lady for 44 years. I suspect your anniversary date will be difficult for you, and I'm sorry for that. I hope you're keeping in touch with your close friends; it's good to have friends to lean on now and then. Blessings. Carol

I enjoyed reading The Sweet Baby. It takes a lot of time to process the grief. It took me about 4 years to get back to being semi-normal. This was a beautifully written post. Thanks for sharing.

These words of calling darling, sweet baby, honey etc, will make your partner behave like what you said in your story.

"She would smile. I think it made her feel loved, desired, and maybe sexy.,
"She would smile. I think it made her feel loved, desired, and maybe sexy."

Your admitting violating " FS is not a social network and certainly not for therapy." Isn't bad at all. Over a period of time some become friends. That's ok.

I am most impressed by your advice that tell someone you love otherwise someone else will do so.

Thank you for sharing your life story.

Love your name for your beautiful Zoe. It shows how much you love her! And I'm glad that you are talking to her everyday.
But don't let your hermit days extend too long. Invite a Fanstorian nearby or visit one. During my chemotherapy eight years ago, I became a hermit for a while and then as I recovered I joined Fanstory and gained some wonderful friends. So keep in touch!
PS I know two FS friends here who used to watch movies together though they were on opposite sides of the country. Just sync the play button while being on Skype, Zoom, or telephone.
PPS My digestive system says no to onions but if I do use it, Texas 1015 onions would be my choice!

Helen, thank you for the super review and the six stars. I am afraid Malcolm might get upset if I let anyone else watch movies..LOL. You are right about Texas 1015's! Terry.

I enjoyed reading this ramble. Life keeps you busy, as you continue to do the things you enjoyed with your wife as well as doing some things for yourself. Happy anniversary in a few days.
I love the pillow. It makes me think of Wilson in Castaway. Hey, we all need someone to listen.

Psst--I agree with you about Fanstory. I am here for the writing, but the unexpected social side is a plus.

Aw Terey, this is precious! You're such a softie and a romantic. Honestly, it's wonderful to see a man in love with his wife. It's a rarity in this world, believe me. Let's see, Jack has an array of nicknames for me. Mostly he calls me Sweet Sal, Sugar Bee, or My Love. All still thrill me as we are more in love than ever. A deserving six to one of the few men who loves his wife so dearly.

Sending you my best today as always,
Sal :)) xo
