This is clever. I know it sounds like a comedy skit which you are playing both parts for but I'll bet there is a lot of truth there. I have dialogue running thru my brain too and right now there is an argument with my right and left brain lobes about the fact I'm supposed to be at the YMCA at 11:30 but if Alexa isn't lying again, she said we might have a thunderstorm starting at 11:00 and the water arobics class will get canceled if it thunders. You might as well watch that show you want watch on Netflix.

Thanks Beth, what's the name of the show?

I wasn't referring to any particular show that you should watch. I was talking about me trying to talk myself out of going to exercise. Sort of like you talk to yourself.

Human nature delightfully shared, cleverly written and very funny. I guess having conversations with ourselves is more common than I knew.
I love the part about the weatherman.

I think we live in a normal world where the only sane person we have to confess is ourselves:)

This story, Murphy's Law, is a funny bickering conversation with yourself that will certainly work as a procrastination tool, on the side of procrastination,

Murphys law states that" If something can go wrong, it will"it was named after Edward A Murphy Jr. 1918.
Many are afraid of success and how or what others think of them. Many people are thrill seekers like those who ride bull. They wait till the last minute to nod their head cause the enjoy the rush they get a rush when they ride a bull.

Others are just plain lazy couch potatoes and put off today what the might accomplish tomorrow maybe?

Lol. We all suffer from procrastitis! But I was glad you were able to stop at the gym on your way home. Maybe if you could eat dinner there first then you could do the classes. For us membership means donation!

You've done it again, Iza, with your witty take on Murphy's Law - If something can go wrong, it will. Your chapter amusingly and probably quite compellingly argues a case for just letting things be - no procrastination or planning because things will always intervene, i.e. your head. And then justify yourself even more by taking on 2 more maxims at the end. Job done! Thanks for sharing. Debbie

This is so very true, it is not until we identify a problem that we are able to solve them. I enjoyed reading this very much. It flows well. I wish you the very best with all of your writing. Have a good day and may God bless. Patricia
