Tanka is a beatiful poetic form. It originated in Japan's Imperial Court where lovers exchanged tankas in appreciation of a night of lovemaking...very passionate Poetry. But modern tanka is about anything you can imaging. I prefer the classic tanka. I'm from Spain. We are very passionate people... and a bit dramatic. LoL I passed that on to my children and grandchildren. My grandson. Atticus. Is only 5 and he is already showing the signs lol

This tanka, Out of the Darkness, has the proper formatting and and seems to present the resurfacing soul who returns from trauma with a stronger and more resilient skin.
