OH, Dear Rhonda, I forgot how much I must have missed your writing since you've been away. Now that you're back, I don't want to let this story go until next week. Be sure, though, as soon as I leave this, I'm scooting back to the first few chapters. You've got a winner in your hands here. Reading this makes me incredibly angry at myself for squandering my 6s (I do so love Christmas!) Now I don't have one. I did have one question. I'm sure I'll find my answer in One or Two.

Echo leaned against Anthos' side, and leapt up on his signal. [This is my first chapter (Oh, but it won't be my last, I assure you!) and I thought I had both characters in mind, but then along comes Anthos. I checked your Character index but I didn't see mention of him.]

Now I'm off to the first two chapters.

Jay

Jay, I?m so glad you stopped by to review. You?re one of the reasons I returned!! I?ll take that virtual 6 any day of the week!!

I?m thrilled you are going back to the earlier chapters. Note of warning, the first one is long. It was part of a contest.
Anthos and Theo are the same guy, lol. I?ll update the author?s notes.

    Take care,
    Rhonda

Excellent writing. I'm really enjoying this story and this episode with the feeling for a tree like a wave or a breeze is an inspired idea. There's a lovely relationship building here too.

    Hi JSD,
I appreciate you taking the time and effort it takes to review a chapter. I know how much that takes.
Thank you for commenting on the tree aspect. Trees and horses will be a thread throughout.

Hi Rhonda, this is a fantastic new chapter about the the two children in the forest. It's amazing what they're doing.
I so wish I had a six left, but they're all gone. Now to the continuation. Ulla xcx

Awww, Ulla, thank you so much for reviewing, and for the virtual 6. I'll take that anytime!! I, also, run out of 6's pretty quickly. We have so many talented friends on here, don't we??

Fantastic chapter again, my friend. The forest is definitely enchanted. I see the two are forming a friendship during survival and having a lot of fun too. Endearing and sweet. Just a few little clues in this chapter keeps the reader coming back.

Sending you my best today as always.

Roy, thank you for the wonderful 6 star review. That is always so uplifting to writers, especially to rusty ones like me. I, also, appreciate you finding the Christian thread behind my work. It's always there somewhere, sometimes obvious, other implied.
I do really appreciate you taking time to review. Your opinion is truly valued!

    God bless,

This is a very fun and interesting read. I looked very hard for errors, I always do, and found none.

This line was most excellent:
My mother says the main reason people fall from trees is because they expect to."

Great job here Master Word Smith.

Douglas, I so appreciate you taking the time to read through for technicalities. It is so very easy to miss details, and I love it when people help me comb through them. You don't know how valuable that is!

    Take care,
    Rhonda

This is a great adventure for Echo. I like that the trees are not only fun to climb, but are willing to help in the process for those they respect and who respect them. This magical world is delightful and is taking Echo's mind off of all she has recently lost. Theo is a great teacher with his patient manner and encouragement.

Debi, thank you for your lovely review. I'm glad the tree piece spoke to you. I love trees, myself, and have them play roles off and on.
Thank you for your comments on Theo. He's the ultimate big brother.
    Thanks again,
    Rhonda

This is a tender story and I really enjoying reading. Thank you for sharing this with us. Great job.

Instinctively, she tried to sit down, but Anthos held her in a standing position. (omit 'down' it's understood)

I have a terrible habit of adding these in. I try to edit them out. So glad you found it right away.
