Hi, Debi!
I'm back from mission trip! It was amazing. God is so great and wonderful.
I like your silly monorhyme! It was fun and had a great message. How in the world did you find all the rhynes! lol
Will visit soon. Right now I have to get at least almost caught up. I got a book deal to write a craft book so my time here is a bit limited, still. *sigh*
Blessings!

Oh Deb, that is so awesome! I am so happy for you. I can't wait to buy a copy. I am in the beginning stages of putting my poetry together into categories and may do 2-3 books. Please let me know when you it is available.
I also thank you so much for the kind words for this
mega-mono-rhyme. I love to challenge myself with bigger things and by rhyming this with only one rhyme, keeping a perfect meter and still have it make sense and tell a little story was big for me. So I do appreciate your lovely comments. Thanks my awesome friend

Hi Debi,
This is a good poem of faith in mono-rhyme (some slant rhyme) couplets.
It shows how the simplicity of being kind, loving and compassionate brings you to the best end to life.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great weekend.

Hey Joan, I need your help with something whenever you have the time.
You mentioned slant rhymes and I was so careful to not use any near rhymes. This was a challenge of mine to keep the meter and have it make sense too. But all the rhymes that I used all had the sound of (ot)
Someone else mentioned that too, so I thought maybe its in the location, but LOL, your from MN too. Could you just help me by telling me what words you thought were slant ones? I am not arguing it, but now I am questioning my pronunciation of words. Do you know what I mean? I love rhyming and that is my style so if I am doing that without knowing, then I should know. I appreciate it so much, as maybe they are some that I didn't mean to be rhymes, so I thank you in advance for doing that for me. I would only ask a friend and you are a dear one.
-
It may be in your pronunciation. In the way I pronounce lot and not, they are full rhymes with slot and?plot and slant rhymes with distraught and brought.
Joan

Thank you so much. I appreciate you taking the time Joan. Lol, yes it is our pronunciation difference.
I have been told I have some kind of accent. Thank you again my awesome friend.

No problem, Debi.

Oh, fear not, Debi. Your time with your grandchildren will teach you that..they are a great source of joy.. although I don't see my three granddaughters as of I would like, the time with them is a great affirmative. Ulla xxx

Hi Hon, oh I know what you mean. The one who did this picture when she was three is also the twenty year old that does much of my art work now. She is an amazing artist. I think you have commented a few times how much you loved her work. Anyway she did over forty pictures of us holding hands while doing different things and someday I may make a book out of them for her. And they do grow up so fast so I know from doing your poem that you do at least Skype or FaceTime, zoom or one or one of those, right? Just to see those smiles are priceless.
Thanks for your sweet comments my dear friend and it was good seeing you. I keep saying that because I just had my other eye done and I can see better than I have since childhood.
So it is good to see anything. How is everything going for you? I hope you don't mind as I know we have a little bit of different faith, but I have been praying for you and your family.
Now that I can see I will be coming to visit soon. Thanks again and take care Sweetie!

The rhyme scheme of this poem is incredibly crafted, and I love how you start out the piece with short, quick sentences that add to the uplifting, playful tone of this work. While the message of this piece is very heavy, the colloquial approach you take to your words makes it light and intelligible. Well done!

That picture is brilliant, Debi, their faces seem to light up, come alive, truly! A famous artist in the making. Keep hold of that picture, it'll be worth millions in years to come!
Your poem is lovely, too, all about love, kindness and getting on with people. That should be a natural thing to do for everyone, Sadly, it's not. Well done, my friend, I really enjoyed this. Love and hugs, and my praises to the artist! :)) Sandra xx

Kenzie drew this at three years old. While I had her, she drew over forty pictures of her and I doing fun things, but we were always holding hands. I have every single one. She is a brilliant artist now at twenty years old does much of my art for my posts and draws for an online company. She is amazing. Of course I am the grandma. Lol...

a fun humorous poem living one's life and finding purpose for life. I like the last lines the best
In a place that's very hot, in hell I will not burn or rot
I'd rather be a good mascot, 'cause Heaven is the Perfect Spot

Debi, I'm sorry I have to give you another six. Your writing is so good, it's nearly always a six. I think I'll just quit writing and read yours. I can see that your family has you wrapped around their finger, like mine.
Exceptional poem Debi. Willie

Though this is happy and fun, it contains a very serious and quite important thought. I'm glad we both enjoy light and funny and FAMILY and writing and looking forward to going to heaven!

I am just starting to get some vision with my new eyes. Even this post was done before my surgery on Wed. It is so nice to have both eyes done now. And as the vision comes back I am trying to repay so many that have been reviewing me for the last couple years. I will certainly try to get over to see you as I do love your writing too. Thanks again Sweetie!

This was great, Debi! How cleverly you used all those words rhyming with "ot."
That's isn't very easy--no it's not.
And such a sense of humor you have got.
This was a really fun poem, and I loved the early picture by Kenzie. We love to look at our daughter's early pictures as well. On her 40th birthday, we roasted her with a few of those early drawings. Great fun! Love, Jim

Hey Jim, thank you for recognizing that Kenzie is the artist I sometimes use and that it is fun to get their old ones out. I have over forty of pictures of her and I holding hands from when she was a little girl. I love your story too about your daughter. I am glad that I'm not the only one who holds onto those precious things.
