My only grandchildren are via my step daughter. My two biological children seem averse to marriage and having children. My grandson as well. My grand daughter however, has a stepson and a son and daughter of her own. Each one of them are precious to me. The ones who are not biological are just as precious as the ones who are. I love them all dearly. Your delightful story really touched my heart. I salute all dads who are doing their best to be good dads, grand and great grand dads.

This beautiful tribute to your late husband brought tears to my eyes. I, too, lost my Mike in September 2019. He, too, was a wonderful father and an awesome grandfather. When our first granddaughter was born, he cried as he held her for the first time. Then came 2 boys. In June 2021, another beautiful granddaughter. He was gone by then, but in tribute to him, they gave her the middle name Leanne, because his middle name was Lee. She has his eyes, his sense of humor (even at 2 years old), and his attachment to me. I swear there is a part of him in her. It is so hard to lose our partners. I hope you have faired better than I with getting past the loss. Great job on your poem. I saw nothing wrong.

What a lovely story from dating to marriage, having a daughter, seeing her grow up and got married.

I can see this is a happy life journey. Mike became a father at 21. His daughter adored him and loved him.
