Love the picture and your words spell a busy life where we often lose our identity for a while whilst we service the family and never think of ourselves, a poignant write, love Dolly x

This twenty-syllable poem, Finding Me, has the proper syllable count, and reminds the readers that even after marriage and motherhood, we are very much still us.

Oh that's great Debra! Stunning image perfectly portrayed in your 20 syllable verse. You're submerged but still just visible and your poetic voice is resounding loud and clear! Love the alliteration too. Well done! A very strong contender here. Good luck and thanks as ever Debbie

We all carry many levels with us through life and the names just change to fit the situation. What a wonderfully written poem.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Love this and wish I had six stars left to give you. We can all relate to the layers that blanket our lives as we navigate marriage and motherhood. You are still there and I thank you for sharing this part of you with us.

Hello Ginda :)
Thank you so much for your kind feedback.
I'm so happy that you enjoyed it and that you have put it on your shelf!
I feel like I've come to a point in my life where I need to rediscover what makes me tick. Who was I, all those years ago, before I became a wife and mother? Am I still that same person, or have I evolved?
Best wishes, Debra :)

Oh precious! I long for those days with all my boys underneath my roof. And my grandchildren aren't close enough. Enjoy it while you can. Life morphs and changes in ways you can't imagine.
Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes for the contest.
