This is a solid entry for the Borrowed Rhyme contest. The borrowed words have been well utilised to weave into a biblical story. Very good use of creative imagination. I expect this entry to do well. Good luck :-)

What a beautiful spiritual poem, and I wish I had a six for it.

Great rhymes, flow, presentation, creative imagery and visuals make this a wonderful piece to read and review.

Thanks so much for sharing. Good luck in the contest.

Very good poem overall. It talks about the original sin instigated by none other than the devil. The poem runs fluidly, even with the imposed ending words. Good luck with the contest!!!

This poem, The Soul Collector, is different in that the end words have been unilaterally established and bend the theme to the dark side. I think you have used them well here to capitalize on these conditions. The theme of the Great Pretender, Satan, comes through.

Nicely done. Good use of the words required in the contest to convey your message within the poem. I like how each line seems to be driving to the end word. Best of luck.

Wow! You did a super job with this challenge! I read the poem then saw the requirements and I couldn't have known that you had to create a poem using those specific rhymes. You told the story of the Fall because of the evil one so naturally using all these words!
Hope this does well in the contest!!

Thank you, Helen. It was fun to try to use those words. I hadn't planned it to be about Lucifer but it seemed to work out that way.

I read the prompt for this poem and thought it sounded both challenging and fun. You've done a really good job here - you tell a story concisely without it sounding forced, which would have been easy to do since you're trying to fit each word into a line somehow.

Excellent job! Good luck:-)

Thank you Pam. I appreciate the review and commentss. It was both a challenge and fun to write. I didn't plan to write about Satan but it just seem to drift in that direction.

I could joke about that (I didn't plan to write about Satan but it just seemed to drift in that direction), but I won't. We all drift toward sin . . .

    Well written. Again, good luck.

I found the author's words presented so well. The poem is engaging,
descriptive and creative. I liked the words above the title - they are
so accurate. The poem is reminder of how evil works! The poem flows
and connects well. The artwork goes so well with the theme and words
of this poem. Have a great Sunday!....Maria

Your rhymes have meaning and the rest of the poem is the tier that holds it together. The great pretender is just that a pretender, telling you how happy you will be by following him and your poem tells that story.
