I changed the rating though I believe one still needs to be changed:
â??I'm Susan Johnson, and this is my granddaughter, Rosemary Brown. Emily is musical too.â?¦â??
I certainly didn't see that ending coming. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you for reviewing. And you are right. I did switch names accidentally. I read it so many times and my brain obviously wasn?t switched on. So I appreciate the pick up.

Well, I really didn't see this coming! I originally thought someone was going to throw the tomatoes at the orchestra, lol!
And what of Mrs. Frost? Was she his grandmother? Was she in on it? Did he just tell them she was his grandmother and she was too senile to understand she was an instrument in his game?
How did you come up with this one, Wendy? Very good dialogue that moves us through the story.
But I never saw that coming!

Lol. Thanks for a great review. I was in a train the other day and I saw this exchange about the two tomatoes it broke the ice and they chatted amiably. Then they went their separate ways. The rest I just made up. I think Mrs Frost was innocent!.

Isn't it amazing how charming people can get up your nose? I love this story, I have met a few people like David who can talk the leg off a dolphin. There is witness definitely a moral to this story, beautifully written blessings Roy

Hahaha, Wendy, so he was a conman, after all. I couldn't help smiling although there was nothing to smile about. I loved the story, and I was certainly fooled. All the best of luck. Ulla:)))

OMG, things were going so well!. Too well. That was certainly an unexpected ending; brings one right back down to earth after such a romance-story beginning. Good work. Congrats. Julie x

I knew he was a con man by his name. David. I was involved with a David and let's just say, well, this is a family show so we won't say. Great story. Your imagination went crazy with this one. Love it. Gretchen

Lol. My husband?s name is David. That name just jumped into my mind. Who knew it would give the game away?! Lol. Thanks so much for your super review.

Wow! A great story with an unexpected sad ending. Clever use of symbolism with the two tomatoes. Mrs. Johnson should have squashed them at the start. David used them to provoke a conversation and find a sucker to wed.

Good Job keeping my interest throughout. I kept wondering why the two tomatoes? Well written with no grammar mistakes. I like the twist at the end. Sad. Never expected it.

Thank you for a great review. It so happened that I saw this happen on the train last weekend. She wanted to sit down and he said the tomatoes weren?t his! So they had a good laugh about it and chatted through the rest of the trip. They then parted ways. The rest was my imagination. I used that in the title because I didn?t want to give away the ending. Lol.

This is a great story, Wendy. You had my complete attention all the way through and I liked what I thought was the happy ending - the wedding. Then you threw a curve ball and changed the ending completely. Very well done.
