Everlasting love so often seems like a myth as values in our modern society change, or fade away.
I love the thoughtful, caring way you have portrayed this everlasting love in the context of a couple facing the harsh reality of forthcoming death.
Truly a gift from God.
Blessings

Hi John,
A touching and rather heartbreaking story that echoes the ravages of time, age, illness and endless love.
Such a nostalgic journey down memory lane within this simple yet all encompassing story that pulls heavily on the heartstrings.
Well written John, enjoyed the read, but it made me think of such an end to a loving relationship and how that reflects on the surviving partner. I guess it's more relevant at present due to my wife's brother and sister both losing their long term partners within a short period of time just recently and watching them now lost.
With our thoughts we create...
indelible memories.
Kind regards,
James.

What a delightful senior love story. The older we get, the faster time seems to fly. I remember being at work on a Friday afternoon, watching the clock, waiting for my weekend to begin. Now, every time I turn around, another Friday has passed by. In your story, Rosie and Marty have had all those beautiful Fridays for 62 years. That is truly forever love.

John, what a wonderful little story. It is not complicated, just a remembrance of the long love affair. One type o...gray hair. It is very well done. Terry.

What a nice little love story. I liked it and I wish everyone could have the kind of marriage that lasts all those years, through sickness and health like the vows say. Those of us you who had that kind are the lucky ones.

True love never dies, John. You did a great job with your
story. Readers can feel the love and tenderness now at
the age Rosie and Marty were. They know the sincerity
each had for the other. You brought out so many thoughts.
I believe this was a compilation of many from personal experiences
of yours/friends/relatives.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Your story gives us an intimate glimpse into what grows a marriage and keeps it strong for over six decades. It is in the tender caring, in the giving of oneself, in the remembering of the small details. Precious.

Okay, I teared up. This is a tender story. It is obvious these two have been devoted to each other for a lifetime. Excellent writing.
Virtual six for the emotional connection you made in this short story.

A thoughtful story. A memory of ... ? Dad and Mom, grandparents? I wouldn't think you since 1954 must mean something to you.
Age. It is a bag with more pains than aspirins within can relieve.
