It has to be a baby bird, the tragedy is it fell out of the nest and left to die, you can't use a full grown bird.

Loved this because of the portrait of both the heron and the narrator. The heron is a solitary creature as he hunts but the narrator is suffering morose grief and wishes to scream along with the heron.

So well formed. This poem provides an apt response to a form of poetry. The poet conveys a moving word picture of an image, feelings, of being human. A very evocative verse, the graphic was also well chosen. Keep on creating.
