First off, I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. But the scamming information is very helpful. We recently found out my late mother in law was the victim of a scam. She lost 2000 dollars. It's terrible that these people are victims. Thank you for posting. Gretchen

Brett, I wish you well in your upcoming surgeries and I hope the surgeon gets all the tumors! This is an excellent essay on scams and the need for scammers to aim their sites at senior citizens. I for one have almost been scammed but I didn't fall for it and I am so glad I didn't!
Thanks for speaking out on scams and showing us how to report them and stop them once and for all!

I'm sorry you're dealing with cancer. This writing is very good and very helpful especially for us older people. I have been pretty wires through the years when scams come across my way and I've been able to share them out very well. Patricia.

I've read I too have upcoming surgeries mainly for infected stitches from three hernia surgeries in the last one with a mesh.
Secondly I've been scammed and I know the deal I'm involved in the dark web from this they know everything about me!
Don't ever give out your full name that's a Black flag you never give out your exact address that's another one and do not accept any video chat call from a stranger on the web.
It will be a 4 second or less video chat of you looking at your face while they verify and connect your number.
With these three tools they can set up a phony business account like they did on me called flying ink.com.
Some crappy by checks in the mail deal they raided my Federal Express account three times three years ago that April for $29.95
I did realize it was a man named George using four female aliases but the same picture.
Lucy then Mona and then Kimberly.
I dated them with a 329 designer heart shaped pocketbook which was a comp years ago for my deceased wife Carolyn from Borgata.
He fell for it hook line and sinker.
The idiot said that send it to George?
Now I was at the time talking to Kimberly and I said to Kimberly.
"I'm not going to send that to some guy named George Kimberly this is for you a beautiful woman!"
Of course he replied it was okay and when I did get his address I sent it out to direct Express security theft.
Identity theft is a 20-year federal crime.
Theft by deception is another 20 years..
Since I lost my house in 2017 I literally shut down close to a thousand Facebook accounts basically black Nigerians using white Caucasian women pictures they've stolen off the internet.
Facebook allows it so I do believe the real criminal is Mark Zuckerman.
Thanks and we'll posted Dear Brett.

I'm sorry to hear of your illness Brett. I'll pray for you. There are a myriad of scams on the internet, a terrible time can be had on there, I don't really worry about answering any, the IRS or the bank never call, but correspond, and these can be ratified, get well Brett, blessings Roy

This is outrageous. I get the calls constantly and I've never been fooled by them so they've never scammed me but I have a two children who has been more than a few times. They hace made me rude and skeptical of everone. They are an irritant. I had two ringing in at the same time yesterday. On was someone telling me I was overpaying my electric bill and the other was a "Hey Grandma" I hung up on one and shamed the other. You post should be a warning to anyone who reads it.
