well, I wish you the best - successful surgery, and a short recovery.
You sound like you have good friends and care givers. There are different results for different people, of course, but I have friends who have had knee surgery and said it wasn't bad. I hope yours is one of those and goes smoothly.

Thanks, Katherine I hope you are right and that my surgery will be successful and my recovery will go well and then soon I will walk and hike just as I have been dreaming!

I am so happy for you. As one who suffer his own set of medical woes, I know the limits placed on a once active walker who finds extended walking burdensome. The greatest blessing in all of this is surviving long enough to receive the healing cures that modern medical procedures provide. God bless you, my dear friend.

'My excitement is only lessened by my happiness which sees no bounds.'
It feels to me that it should read:
'My excitement is only exceeded by my happiness which sees no bounds.'... because your happiness sees no bounds and is therefore much greater than your happiness... which is very high, so I didn't want to see it lessened.
