A really evocative verse with so much imagery and atmosphere in such a short post. The image is haunting as too is the final line which gives the poem poignancy and real depth. Thanks for sharing. Take care, Debbie

You have presented us with an excellent descriptive Imayo poem. I enjoyed it very much, except one observation. I fear to criticise spelling, but should the chars on the porch perhaps be chairs? kay
