I'm not a big sports fan but you had me cheering for Steven Bradbury all the way. The fact that he continued even after such a devastating injury makes me admire him more and feel he was definitely worthy of a gold!
The other funny thing is in one of my early jobs, my officemate's name was Steven Bradbury!

What an amazing man. I agree with you that his use of strategy was as just as important as anything else in the competition and he deserved the gold that day. He sounds like a gold medal winner in many facets of life.

This story shook me up. Anything can happen, of course, but in his case it was a rare will power, strength and determination to win against all odds. After his neck was broken I didn't think he would rise again. Doctors gave up on him, and so did the skating world. But the incredible happened - he beat the odds.
This is a lesson to anyone who gave on his health - that there is hope, that we have have more strength in us than we realize.
Thank you for introducing us to this incredible person. He is a cornerstone in my life.
