Excellent chapter for book Seasons of Change. I agree, mankind has raped the earth and poisoned our planet. God entrusted us as caretakers of our bountiful world and we let Him down. What are we leaving for our children?
Well done.

Thank you for the validation.

This powerful poem disturbed me. It states vehemently the disastrous consequences of "free will". I know it had to play out that way, but why was man such a pathetic specimen? kay
Perhaps intersedes > intercedes

When Adam and Eve fell, they took creation with them, they started to want ownership of earth and not steward it, and that's a twisted way of possessing what belongs to God, naked born and naked. we die, beautifully written my friend Jim, blessings Roy

Sadly, so many Men have given up on God, and what he has so abundantly given us. I really enjoy your work. It is well written, and speaks well of your faith. Keep writing and keep sharing with us. Patricia.

This is a very powerful post, well-written with deep faith and sorrow at man's destruction in the world. There is some cause for hope, however, as conveyed in the last paragraph and this is, of course, vital to the whole piece. There is a very tiny edit in the third para from the bottom (...it the(n) causes lungs to burn). A lovely free-verse poem with universal message. Many thanks for sharing, Debbie

Nicely done, Jim. I don't think everybody realizes the danger. I believe that the only way mankind will survive is if all the countries in the world get together to solve all our problems. Discontent is going to be our downfall.

For sure God have us dominion over nature. We have done a horrible job taking care of what God entrusted us to. Thank you for sharing this NaPoWriMo entry with us. I enjoyed reading.

I enjoyed your deeply faithful write and we do sometimes suffer from storms, fires and high winds and we may wonder if mankind could be more considerate to our planet. A fine post for the contest, love Dolly x x x
