Hi JLR, this is so sad and
painful. I've never been in a
war, and I don't know what
that is like. The human toll
of war is so tragic. A veteran
of the Vietnam War said to
me, "It never goes away." His
words tightened my throat
and I shut down, I couldn't
find a word to say. I stood
there mute. I hope you have
a creative & inspiring weekend.

He summed it up as only a veteran would understand. Thank you for the well wishes for an inspirational weekend.

I can understand all that was written . The not-a war in SE. Asia was a screw up from the beginning. The last war fought was Korea, but the powers to be keep sending our kids to be mutilated by p[eople that have been killing each other for centuries.

This is a wise and objective write about a couple who saw things very differently in this difficult marriage where one of them suffered emotion trauma and the other cared, but was also dissatisfied. This complex issue here is handled with great finesse and grace and I enjoyed this open minded and in-depth analysis of this failed marriage. War scars people forever and those who don't let it ruin the rest of their life are the bravest souls, a poignant write with great depth of meaning here Jim, love Dolly x

Hi Jim,
First of all, thanks for your service.
This story is told well in this free verse poem. It shows how hard Ginny tried and how bad PTSD is for the soldier and the family. She was a good wife to stay as long as she could.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great weekend.

Thank you, yes she was and without the utter loss and shame that resulted from a failed marriage, I would have likely not have sought the help I needed.

Don't mention it. I am glad you got the help you needed. Only if more did and and more VA hospitals treated it as a disease sooner then more marriages and lives would have ended better.
