This is very well written and edited. You do a good job with the character's excitement with the dogs, and the conversations between Marj and Julie, when Roger comes up.

This looks like an interesting story. I like the addition of the dogs and puppies. The puppy in the picture is adorable too. Your story grabbed my attention, and I will watch for the next chapter.

I don't think that Marjorie will keep to her abstinence from men for a year. It seems even in a fall, she finding herself being lifted by that attractive man and he found the puppy! Everything points to a good relationship - laughter and help at just the right time!
