I appreciate this poem. It was entirely relatable. My favorite lines were: But life's not picture perfect, like those moments from Kodak
We can't appreciate the white, if we don't see the black
I guess many of us have heard that there must be opposition in all things, that we learn by contrast. The experiences you barely mention sound like the worst kind of contrast. It took me by surprise that another neighbor survived that less than 400 feet away from us. The other line I like is: God sent me on this journey, to this great writing buffet
Thank you for sharing.

Crystie, I thank you you so much. When I see you wonderful friends, continuously being there for each other, it is hard to hold the tears back. I thank God every day for sending you all to me. I can't think of more fulfillment in this life than what he rewards us with daily here. Thank you for being one of those great rewards, my dear friend.

This is a beautiful testimonial to the power of faith and recovery from past trauma. Your life now reflects the joy of overcoming the negativity and filling it with positivity. And I'm happy that Fanstory has added to that joy. Thank you for sharing.

I like your message but it is very difficult to defeat the ignorant jokers because they can act like brick walls most of the time. You have the guts to send this important message to all of us. All nice people should get respect. Exceptional work!

Debi, I can truly relate to this beautiful poem you have penned. Beautiful imagery from the art work you chose. You used such lovely and encouraging words and not words to bring us down. I believe that is what Jesus wants us to do. Encourage each other every day the best we can. The world brings us down low enough. Thank you for sharing! love and blessings, Teri

You tell so much about your life in this one poem. I like the choice you make to move forward and celebrate the best in life although you've had some hard times to overcome.
My favorite line
"I'd love to sprinkle love and peace, on top of each rainbow"
I might have to write that one down and paste it on my mirror.

An excellent poem summing up what is essential in all relationships - the importance of respect. No one knows another's journey and none has the right to judge or condemn. Best wishes gif your thoughtful poem. Wendy

Thanks for sharing your heart in this poem. I'm sorry you've been through some awful things, and I'm glad God has seen you through everything. I love your cheerful attitude, reflected in the bright yellow presentation and the rainbow. Good rhymes throughout. Blessings. Carol

All of your work is heartfelt and inspirational. This poem is no different. You poetically express your observations, experiences, goals, and wishes. Through your writing you remain upbeat, encouraged, and encouraging. Your focus is always on what is good in your life and our lives. Yes! "We Have Each Other's Back."
On a less serious note, you selected a humorous illustration that represents reality. The animals have their back facing the same direction except for the cat in the middle, facing the opposite direction, but turned to look at what the other animals see, and the rabbit on the end who seems to be totally disconnected and unconcerned, both like some people. Haha.

Lorraine, you are such a dear one, and although I did love the picture, I knew that it was not right for this poem. Hearing it from you who I trust with all that is inside me, I knew just what to look for. I think it looks much better now.
You are so sweet with all of your kind and caring words. Thank you so much for every kind word you have ever written to me or for me. I just couldn't love you dear friend more if I tried.
Thanks again for having my back! : )

Excellent poem about existence. The choices we regreat, the good and bad memories. It's very real and honest. Thank you for sharing yourself. (If this is biographical)
The rhymes and meter are not forced and they flow well.
the structure makes sense, it draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

I love this poem which bravely and honestly sums up your life, the cheerful and optimistic place where it is now, and your glowing tribute to our community of writers. The illustration is absolutely marvellous, my only problem being: are the 5th and 6th from the left LAMBS? or poodly dogs?
The more I look, the more I think lambs, from the set of their ears. Please excuse my trivial musings, Julie L

Julie, the more I get to know you, the more you crack me up. Yes, they are some strange looking critters on that side aren't they? Actually, I used this photo how cool that it showed all the backs of animals who don't stick together any better than we do sometimes, but it was cute. Then thought maybe a rainbow would have worked better. But then I wouldn't be getting quite as much joy out of your adorable review. We may not be perfect but this review is. Thank you so much. Hahahaha!
