I love it, Debi. What a great birthday wish for Joan, I am sure she will really appreciate this. When I read your great contributions here, it almost makes me feel like putting down my pen. But, a writer must write.

What a fun and serious birthday wish for Joan.
I enjoyed reading it. The picture is awesome.
A dragon for Dragonpoet, and it even has a gift.
Your words were well thought out, Debi. You gave
readers much info in a fun way. However, you words
were straight from your heart to Joan's. I liked the
combo of your merry-go-round style. We all liked to
be remembered on special days--esp from special friends
like You. Your rhymes worked well, and there was smooth flow.
I liked the wishes you made for her.
Thanks for sharing and caring, Jan

This was a fun birthday poem to read. You kept it light all the while showing how you feel about your friend. A stones throw away, does she live in the same state as you? That would be fun to meet for coffee. Or, since you live in a snowy state, snowcones. Lol. Great poem. Gretchen

Hahahaha! Gretchen, you do crack me up! Yes, she only lives about an hour away from me. She is in the Minneapolis area and we live about 60 miles west of the Twin Cities. Pretty cool, huh? However, some people like to keep their involvement private with the others so I completely respect that.
Thanks for the awesome review and comments my sweet friend.

Happy birthday, Joan! 39? I hope you have a wonderful b-day and get your lawn mowed. I hope you get a really nice layer cake with ice cream to go with this poem!
Debi, so sweet of you to scribe such a beautiful merry-go-round poem for Joan. I am sure she is blessed. A delightful treat for a delightful poetess on FanStory. Sending you both my very best!

Hi Debi,
This is a great poem. I like the format. I have never heard of it before.
Thanks for the birthday wishes and I will do everything I like best.
I like that you used the word supersize because I also go to McDonald's for lunch often of Sunday after church.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Joan

Hi Joan, just wanted to thank you for being so appreciative and for having fun with me. Hope your birthday was great. Not sure if you even looked at it since, but I wasn't satisfied w some of yours or Margaret's so I did quite a bit of changing. So now it does read much nicer. Thanks again for being so gracious.

No problem, Debi. I will go back and read it again.

I think I've known Joan ever since I joined in 2012, (is it that long?) it seems I've been here forever and she's been a faithful reviewer in all that time. What a marvellous post for this time. This is beautifully and quirkily written dear Debi, as always you display your talent, your thoughtfulness and the kindness of God, well done, blessings Roy

You will always have something to write about as long as you continue to celebrate FS members. Reading about each one makes me feel I know them too. I enjoy your connection to each one.

I may not disclose when my birthday is, so I am not a target. I will be turning 80 years of age if I can only make it. I fear what you might do or say to me, so I may spend the day in hiding. Which reminds me, today is my oldest sister's birthday, I must call her and tease her on reaching the ripe old age of 86 years.. I liked the poem very much and I am sure that Joan will enjoy it. You really are quite good, in case nobody told you.

LOL, Debi, she will probably unfriend you now. That part about the loan would run almost anybody off. Just kidding, it is a fun birthday poem. You don't need a Hallmark card. Maybe you can replace Hallmark with the Debi Channel...The dragon with the present is fantastic. Excellent work. Terry.

Thank you for sharing this creative and silly birthday tribute to dragonpoet with us. I enjoyed reading. I am familiar with dragonpoet and have read many of her posts but have not fanned her. I need to do that.
