Having raised four boys myself I am always amazed that males actually survive to adulthood. I really do. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading.

Heh heh, you were a wild one, I can remember my early teens, I likewise had red hair and freckles, but fortunately almost my entire free time was taken up with sport, didn't matter what it was I played, kept me out of trouble, well done Brett, blessings Roy

The first two paragraphs don't seem to go with this part of your story. I could imagine you wanting to kill yourself when you saw that running truck jammed between two trees. This was funny and dangerous and just like a twelve or so year old.
