a very nice entry. listen to children, they have much to say. what they write provides entry into a world we need to see more of. and what they draw are gems earning their shine.

Oh I love this!! I always try to hold onto one six star, in case a masterpiece falls into my lap. And this is the one I have been waiting for. Absolutely wonderful and I believe your daughter has a gifted future in writing that will attract the world's attention someday. Awesome job, both mom and daughter, Morgan. Way to go girls!! Genius!!

Indeed, so true dear anonymous! Although "old" people can also write but younger ones are more perspective.
Thank you for sharing!
Good luck!
Blessings with hugs and kisses,

Excellent entry for the 10 Word Poem writing prompt contest. Good word count and choices. The poem flows nicely and you give good advice. Children are the future.

I like the presentation too. Concrete images easy to visualize. .

I agree with your entry wholeheartedly, and yet the older we get in today's society reading has become a lost art, with meta discipleship running amok. It would be interesting to see what the course of instruction in the classroom is today regarding suggested reading. What? Seuss has been removed, and Shakespeare and company have dusty dustcovers.

I couldn't agree more. I fear for my daughters, both under 10. Fortunately, they find joy in reading, though not a common hobby among their friends. With every generation we get further and further away from the possibility that we will ever see brilliance (Shakespeare and Seuss) again. Reading is an essential tool for development- for personal growth and mind expansion. I'm talking books? Words to look up, pages to flip, a window to different experiences and perspectives! Thats where intellects grows, and genius is born? It is also what's being replaced by iPads and social media nonsense, today. It's terrifying.

I am glad to see that the love of writing is continuing through the generations, and her imaginative gifts are being encouraged. Best wishes for the contest.

This a really good entry, and so far I only read one equal. I have been a teacher, and these word ring so true. Good luck in the contest. It is a lovely piece

This is a very sweet entry in this 10-word contest. Your daughter looks very creative, and her drawings are precious. Don't ever throw them or her stories away, but save them, as they will continue to delight both of you through the years.

My daughter, too, was a young artist and writer, and we roasted her on her 40th birthday with some of her early work. What a riot to look at it and hear it again with her.

Jim, you've made my whole night. That's a beautiful thing! I can't wait for the day I can read "The Kind Wolf" (her first book written at 4yrs old) to a room full of people!
No doubt my impatience will betray me- as time seems to be passing far too quickly!
Your pride as a father is unmistakable, and I have every confidence your daughter feels equally fortunate!

This is a good entry into the 10 words contest. The text is for sure a great size. The message is clearly stated and easy to understand. You even managed to get a rhyme in your short poem. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.
