It is a treat to come across a poem about The Great Blue Heron. I see them occasionally around here on Cape Cod. Your words create a picture of nature with your use of words. I like your last line "while I meditate". It shows how nature can give us serenity.

I like how the image of the heron reflecting on the pond echoes that of the meditating poet.
