What an excellent series of tankas, with that classic sense of short form wizardry at your fingertips, producing a multiplied enjoyment through excellent sense of occasion, displayed in your work, well done, blessings Roy

Your suite of tanka poems were structured like a tanka with that pivot in the middle stanza and it changed from the beautiful blending of souls to the betrayal and end of that relationship. I can't help but be angry with your ex-husband. But you have handled it beautifully and you're right that God has good plans for you!

Yes, big sister, sometimes I get mad but it's mostly sadness. It still hurts when I hear certain songs. It's interesting how the heart and emotions are. After he left me I thought about ending my life several times, but God was with me all along and kept me alive. Maybe it was to take care of Atticus or to learn to love myself the way He does.
Thank you very much. I appreciate your kind and insightful review.
Love you,
Marival ❤️

Love really is a journey. You do a fantastic job of taking readers through that journey, beginning with loves kindness, loves language and pleasurable gestures of love and emotion. Even the colour red evolves in your poem, leading readers to a different stage of love in each stanza. Then loves breath stops, and life steps in. Here is where the heart pours out wisdom. God provides. A beautiful write, Gypsy. Thank you for this vivid inspirational.

what a wonderful poem; the heart must survive no matter what life brings. When we have loved and lost the heartaches come and go in time they say. This is a well-written poem.

You've presented us with very moving verses, Gypsy. The colored font adds to the flowing and swirling feeling of the love being shared. I especially liked the famous quotes in your notes. I enjoyed it.

This line,
"little things every day
like love notes in your lunch bag
to feed your heart..."
I thought was so sweet.
I was saddened to hear that the love did not last. But as you pointed out, if you love something/someone let it go free.
Another compelling read. Jacqueline

This was riveting. I liked how you made everything perfect and left the reader with the possibilities of endless love. Then you sprinkled a bit of reality in. The perfect love suddenly lost. Makes me wonder if it was from separation or death. Anyhow, wonderful poem that left me wanting more. Gretchen
